Yesterday, the Surfe team had the privilege of diving into the Salesforce World Tour event held at the Paris Expo! 🚀✨ 🌟Breaking Waves at the Salesforce World Tour Paris!🌟 Looking forward to what next week will bring! 🤟 Of course, it's not possible to have a 3-day team-building session every time you have a new starter but I think the lessons remain the same: Educate with passion, show genuine compassion for your colleagues, and have faith in your team. So by the time my first work day came around, I already knew the whole team, what they are working on, and how the culture of the company really is. When the employer has faith in the employee, the reverse can also be said. Their approach of low-touch management, remote friendly culture, and the way the team handled their presentations showed it. ➡ The co-founders, David Chevalier and Romain Ginestou, trust and have faith in their employees. The important part is that Veronika cares about the well-being of her colleagues. It's worth mentioning that Veronika doesn't work in HR and monitoring the mental health of the team isn't part of her role (in fact, we work together on the marketing team). On the third morning, Veronika Belova gave a presentation about well-being. With presentations on Development from Pierre Portejoie, on Go-To-Market strategy from Andreas Wernicke, on Sales from Alejandro Salinas Ruiz, (and many others!) it was so clear that these guys are not only experts but also that their passion for our product is genuine. ➡ The team are all invested in the mission. The event included a Q1 recap by co-founder David Chevalier, presentations from different team members about the work of each BU, a summer-themed photo shoot, team meals, and they even flew all of their remote team to Paris so we could experience it all together! 👩🏫 ✈ This was my first official week at Surfe, but they actually invited me to tag along to their 3-day Surfe Camp last week to get to know the team and the company ahead of time. But if you mess it up, it's on you when they don't feel like they fit in and aren't fully invested in the role. 🏃♂️ ⚡ĭone correctly, your employees will feel welcomed and motivated to perform. How you on-board new talent can make or break an employee's experience in their first few days on the job - and that can quickly determine their motivation level in the role.
